Step-by-step help for using canary.

Your Prescriptions

Your scripts

This article refers to the Scripts screen. Open it in a new tab

canary keeps all of your scripts in one place, split into two simple views: your current, usable scripts on the dashboard, and everything else on the Old scripts page.

Active scripts

Your dashboard shows your Active scripts — the scripts that are current and may be ordered. Each card shows the medication name, your Supplies remaining, and an Add to cart button when the script is ready to order. Use the Refresh button to fetch the latest status from the prescription service, for example after a repeat has been dispensed.

Old scripts

To see scripts that are no longer usable, open the account menu in the top corner and select Old scripts. Scripts land here once they've been fully dispensed, or if they've expired or been cancelled. Each one carries a small badge explaining why it's here:

  • Dispensed — all supplies on the script have been used.
  • Expired — the script has passed its expiry date.
  • Cancelled or Ceased — the script was stopped by your prescriber.
  • Deferred or Disabled — the script is on hold and can't currently be used.

Schedule 8 prescriptions are only valid for 6 months from the date of issue. Your script may still show as 'Active' when it is actually expired. Schedule 4 prescriptions are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Tidying up

If you'd like to remove an old script from the list, select Delete script on its card, then confirm with Are you sure?. This only removes it from your view — it doesn't affect your prescription records with your prescriber.

If a script seems to be in the wrong place, try refreshing your dashboard first. If something still doesn't look right, reach out to the canary team.
