Payments
Additional payments
Occasionally, a pharmacy may need to request an extra payment on an order you've already placed — for example, if something about the order changed after you placed it. When that happens, you'll receive a secure payment link, and paying takes only a minute.
What you'll see
The link opens the Additional payment page on canary. It shows:
- Your order number, so you know exactly which order it relates to.
- The pharmacy's name and the extra amount they've requested.
You'll also usually see a note on your dashboard that an order requires action, so you won't miss it.
How to pay
- Open the payment link.
- Check the order number and amount look right.
- Enter your card holder name, card number, expiry date and security code (CVC).
- Submit the payment.
Once the payment goes through, you'll see a success message, the pharmacy is notified automatically, and your order continues on its way. A confirmation email is sent to you for your records, and the payment appears against the order in your order history.
Good to know
- Paying promptly helps avoid delays — the pharmacy usually can't continue processing the order until the extra amount is paid.
- Each payment link only works while the payment is owing. If the order has already been paid, the link will simply tell you so.
- Not sure why an extra amount was requested? Contact the pharmacy or the canary team before paying — they'll gladly explain.
