Your Account

Security

This article refers to the Security screen. Open it in a new tab

Your account holds personal and payment information, so it's worth taking a moment to keep it secure. From the Security page you can change your password and add two-factor authentication for an extra layer of protection.

Changing your password

  1. Enter your Current Password.
  2. Choose a new Password — at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number. Simple runs like "1234" or "abcd" aren't accepted.
  3. Repeat it in Confirm password and save.

For your safety, you can't reuse any of your last five passwords. The little eye icon next to each field lets you peek at what you've typed.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication means that even if someone learns your password, they still can't sign in without a code from your phone.

  1. Turn on the two-factor option on the Security page.
  2. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app on your phone (such as Google Authenticator or Authy). If you can't scan, enter the setup key shown instead.
  3. Type in the 6-digit code from the app to confirm, and you're protected.

From then on, you'll be asked for a fresh code from your app when signing in.

Recovery codes

When you switch on 2FA you're given six one-time recovery codes. Save them somewhere safe — a password manager or a printed copy works well. If you ever lose your phone, a recovery code lets you back into your account. You can view them again or generate a new set from the Security page at any time.

Turning 2FA off

You can disable two-factor authentication whenever you like from the same page, though we recommend keeping it on. If you're ever locked out completely, contact the team and they'll help you get back in safely.
